Hey everyone! I hope you all had a happy holiday.
I went to see the movie True Grit over the holiday and I have to say I loved it. I highly recommend that you go see it.
Now I know most of you probably already know what the word grit actually means. But up until I saw this movie I didn't have a clue. :-) I actually know what it means but this movie taught me more about what it means to have True Grit.
Let me share with you the things a friend of mine learned while watching this movie. I thought they were funny I just had to share them with you. Then when you watch the movie you will know what he is talking about.
1- If I want a proper burial, I should have the decency enough to get killed when it's warm.
2- Never try to bargain with a 14 year old girl.
3- Hang'em high if you really want them dead.
4- Never underestimate a girl with a gun. She can, and will, shoot.
5- Never underestimate a drunken fat man with a gun. He is more than willing to shoot, and he will hit his target....sometimes.
There you go. Now go see the movie!!
I loooved it too, Melissa. I went on Christmas day -- it's tradition. so impressed. Glad you posted about it!

Dani,
ReplyDeleteYeah I think the girl had more grit than Jeff Bridges' character. I loved her. She was my favorite.
I want to see it! Hopefully I will.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great review. Thanks!
